Lush Bath Bomb: Star Dust

Hi guys,

I have got a lovely little product review for you today! This Star dust bath bomb smells divine. It has a deep vanilla scent which is just amazing.

Gilmore Girls ... AAAHHHHHH

Hi guys,

I am absolutely thrilled that today is Gilmore Girls day. I will post my thoughts and feelings of the "Year in the Life" when I have caught up with it on Netflix.

For those of you who have been living under a rock, Netflix have produced a year in the life of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore and we will find out what has been happening since they have been off our screens.

I honestly couldn't be more excited. To celebrate, the POP! people who create all of the Funko dolls for different characters; whether comic book or TV characters, have created these Funko dolls of Lorelai, Rory and Melissa McCarthy's character; Sookie.

They are definitely on my shopping list for this month!

All of these are priced at only £9.99 and are available from My Geek Box.

So, if you are wanting something collectable to commemorate this special event, look no further!

The glossies I subscribe to ...

Hi guys,

I wanted to share with you my fave mags that I subscribe to. The reason I subscribe to several magazines is so that I can get them delivered to my door and I don't go overboard when shopping. You also get quite a big discount on the magazines too when you subscribe so it sort of saves me money to do so!

Weeklies; Look & Grazia

Look magazine is my all time favourite. They always have good comments about women and champion body confidence. They also have the best new trend & fashion items both affordable and for a little more of a splurge.

Grazia tends to be more high end fashion mixed in with a little bit of High Street. Grazia have amazing news stories that really delve into the background of different people & cultures.

So monthly mags ..

Glamour mag is great. I love how they do a hell of a lot of great top tips posts and mental health stuff. There are always career advice articles as well as other articles that focus on relationships too.

Cosmopolitan is a great mag for affordable fashion and a lot of it is quite kooky and unusual. They also tackle a lot of unspoken taboos - dealing with lady issues quite a lot!

I have just started reading Hello fashion which is quite a new mag. It is way more high end fashion and brings you the trends straight from the runway and has an amazing beauty section too!

Last but definitely not least is MY bible. I say bible because this magazine seems to just know when I need different help. For example, I was struggling a bit at work and letting things get on top of me and lo and behold, there was an article in this very mag about dealing with stress at work!

I love the interviews they do with celebrities too as it gives you a thorough insight into people we see onscreen often.

Do you have any fave mags??

Avon Magic Effects Mineral Crush in Turquoise

Hi guys,

I have just tried the Avon Magic Effects Mineral Crush polishes. I bought them in several colours but I have just tried out the Turquoise and I absolutely loved it. The magic effects is a kind of glitter effect in the polish which looks amazing on the nail.

Avon nail polishes & most of the makeup comes in a little cardboard box which makes it so good to be able to give as gifts too. The actual nail brush for the polish is great too for all of the nail varnishes I have used from Avon before.

The colour is so cute. It is a teal/turquoise colour and is really deep and pigmented. The sparkle looks amazing too. It is quite quick drying and I managed to wear it for two days without any chipping. I am not allowed to wear nail varnish for work so I didn't have the opportunity to try it for longer than this!

This colour is so perfect for the Christmas season!

Christmas Yankee Candle Haul ...

Hi guys,

So I was in Asda recently and saw the Yankee Candle Christmas collection. I did put myself on a bit of a candle ban as I had tons of wax melts, tealights etc for all different seasons and they had started to spill over into a second drawer so I didn't really need any extras!

However, when I got into the aisle, I just couldn't help myself. However, I did go for the little ones rather than the big jars!

From L-R

Salted Caramel
Sunlight on Snow
Santa's Treat
Candy Cane

My favourite is definitely the Candy Cane as they smell just like the real thing! Sunlight on snow is also amazing and kind of smells what I would imagine sunlight on snow to smell like!

No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour .. Beanie

Hi guys,

I love No7 nail colour. I hardly see beauty bloggers raving about it and I have always wondered why.

This is the stay perfect nail colour in shade no.8, Beanie.

It is this unusual dark brown colour, almost khaki,

So, I had to apply two coats to it to get this deeper colour. I also love the fact that it has this natural shine to it. It was very quick to dry and it hadn't chipped AT ALL over three days.

I will definitely look to No7 for more nail polishes. This was only £6 and you can get buy one get one half price at the minute too - bargain!!

My love for Louise Pentland ...

Hi guys,

I wanted to share my love for Louise Pentland today. I am sure you have all seen Louise on her Youtube channels, Sprinkle of Glitter or Sprinkle of Chatter.

She has an amazing personality that just makes her addictive to watch. While I love Zoella and a hell of a lot of other Youtubers, I adore Louise. I feel like she is such a genuinely nice person and has a similar sense of humour to me. I find myself laughing very loudly while watching her vids.

She separated from her husband last year and even that has been handled incredibly well by this amazing person.

Also featured a lot on her channel, is her daughter, Darcy. Darcy is five (I think) and is absolutely adorable. I think the video of when she meets the Disney Princesses is just about the best thing I have ever seen online. I love the way Louise parents. I have never heard her scold her daughter or raise her voice. She asks her questions to bring out the thoughts that other parents would probably quash. And, on the odd occasion where Darcy isn't listening or is maybe a little bit fiendish, Louise will just speak to her very normally and Darcy listens.

For a child who has quite an incredible life, her life is very normal too. Louise is an excellent role model for mothers, young adults and teenagers alike. I absolutely love her.

So, Louise has released a DVD, Louise Live. I think I have watched every Youtube vid twice so having this extra piece of Louise is fantastic. I have not yet watched it but I can't wait!!

I also bought "Life with a sprinkle of glitter" which is a book that Louise has written and I have just had a quick flick through but cannot wait to see what she has written. Finally, I also bought the sprinkle of glitter diary 2017. I will probably blog a little about it during the year due to its different sections - photos, recipes etc.

Louise is also writing a book that is available next year about a heroine, Robin Wilde. Cannot wait!!

If you haven't yet discovered Louise (where have you been?) then please go and take a look at her channel. I adore this woman and often tell people to go and watch her vids when they're feeling down.

Do you have a favourite youtuber?

My Autumn/Winter Playlist ...

Hi guys,

I love Autumn/Winter as it means I get to spend a lot more time indoors, without an excuse. I think that is the granny in me talking!

So, whether it is organising my wardrobe, papers, working from home or just doing general chores, I always like to have music playing away. I love a ballad - I feel like if you can sing along while doing organising tasks or writing my blog, you get it done quicker and it is more enjoyable.

When tidying the house and carrying out more energetic tasks, it helps to have a faster paced tune playing.

I also find that my music choices are the weirdest compilation. My perfect album would probably be made up of 20 different albums!

This is what I have been listening to lately and playing most often on the Ipod ...

Sia - Elastic Heart
Sia - Alive
Sia - Chandelier
Birdy - Skinny Love
Jazmine Sullivan - Bust Your Windows
Gabrielle - Out of Reach
Leona Lewis - Run
Christina Perri - Jar of Hearts
David Guetta feat John Legend - Listen
Ellie Goulding - Explosions
La Roux - Bulletproof
David Guetta feat. Birdy - I'll keep loving you
Timbaland feat Katy Perry - If we ever meet again
Jennifer Hudson - If this isn't love

What do you like listening to?

Rimmel Fresher Skin Foundation ...

Hi guys,

I picked up this foundation as I love Rimmel foundation and thought it worth a try. I was quite intrigued as I couldn't determine what consistency it was going to be like. Because it is in the little tub, I always expect a mousse and as it says "breathable" I also thought mousse.

LINK here - Rimmel products buy one get one half price currently at Boots.

However, it is more like a liquid foundation, just in a tub. The little tub looks expensive but the font and colours make it more like Rimmel - fun and fashionable.

The actual foundation itself is probably one of the best I have used. It blends into my skin tone absolutely so that if this is all I wore, I might look like I was having a good skin day. However, I did have amazing coverage which I wouldn't have expected due to the thinner layer.

I also love that it had staying power also. It lasted me all day at work. I would have had to powder my T zone had I been going out on the evening without reapplying but I was very pleased with how long this lasted. I have been using in conjunction with a few new matte moisturisers and primers so this may have had an effect also!

I love that is has SPF15 as this is so important, even in the winter sun.

At only £7.49, it doesn't break the bank either. A little goes a long way.

So, if you have been looking for a new foundation, this one definitely gets the thumbs up from me.

Samsung Galaxy S7 in Pink!

Hi guys,

I just wanted to share with you my new phone! I have been using it for a little while now and I am loving it.

It is the Samsung Galaxy S7 in this cute rose pink colour. I have been using Samsung Galaxy phones for about four years now and although I use an iphone for work, I can't bring myself to get one for my personal phone.

So, I am absolutely loving it so far! I love the colour and the screen is slightly bigger than the S5, which is what I have upgraded from. One of the things I liked was the data cable that I plugged into both of the phones - this just transferred all data from my old phone straight to the new one.

I also love the earphones and the little box they come in - perfect for when I am on the go.

Overall, I am loving the phone at the minute. I got it through 3 on contract. Not a massive lover of that network but I seem to get good coverage. I am not good with tech specs but the camera works for me and the layout of apps etc. works for me too!!

Winter Snuggles ...

Hi guys,

The weather lately has been awful. I love the Winter but only when I am snuggled up inside. I love nothing more than a cosy Sunday in my Pjs, dressing gown and blanket. Cup of hot choc and a couple of marshmallows are the absolute icing on the cake!

On a "rainy day", I will often browse the net shopping or blogging. If I am feeling very lazy, I will binge on boxsets and read my favourite magazines. My ultimate snuggly activity is reading. I love curling up with a good book and a hot drink.

I decided to find some Winter accessories to keep us nice and cosy. My absolute favourite is the fur hood dressing gown from Matalan. However, I think I probably wouldn't emerge from it if I looked outside and it was windy or snowing.

1. Champagne PJs - New Look £14.99
2. Fur Hood dressing gown - Matalan £25
3. Polkadot dressing gown - George £20
4. Polar bear sock pack - Matalan £5
5. Cable knit blanket - Matalan £25
6. Pug sock pack - Matalan £5
7. Star slipper boots - Matalan £8
8. Bunny ears dressing gown - Dorothy Perkins £22.40
9. Cable knit slippers - Matalan £6

How do you keep cosy?

Christmas Countdown ... My Top Picks for Advent Calendars!

Hi guys,

Christmas is fast approaching and before we know it, December will be here. I thought I would share my top picks for this Christmas' advent calendar and then I will let you know which ones I have bought - yep, more than one!

1. Tanya Burr at Superdrug £15
2. Ghost at Superdrug £25
3, Sanctuary at Boots £25
4. Makeup Revolution at Superdrug £30
5. Yankee Candle at Debenhams £22.50
6. Clarins at Debenhams £95
7. Fairytale calendar at Boots £80
8. Benefit at Debenhams £34.50
9.Clinique 7 days Debenhams £28

Also ...

The No7 advent calendar is now available at £39. At the time of writing this, this product is still available but you need to probably get in there quick!!

The No7 includes various makeup and skincare items.

Okay, so I adore the fairytale advent calendar at Boots which is £80. It is crazy the amount of products that you get included in this calendar and all from luxury high end brands. However, I cannot justify paying the £80 for this one. I also would usually love the Yankee candle - but I have SO many candles and wax melts and I only have two days in the house a week, that I worry I will never get through them!

My picks that I am buying ...

1. Tanya Burr advent calendar - I love tanya's cosmetics and I feel like there will be a good amount of those mixed with accessories and could probably do with some more accessories.

2. No7 advent calendar. I love No7 - I adore the nail varnishes and the eyeshadows so I am excited to see the products on a daily basis.

3. Sanctuary Advent Calendar - I have bought the sanctuary advent calendar as I have never had a product that I have disliked - apart from their colour candle. It is also a massive size!!

I will do a daily unboxing haul as well with a mini review - as well as a review at the end to get us prepared for the following year!

I can't wait for Christmas and counting down with these amazing advent calendars is going to be so exciting!!

Makeup Gallery, Poundland Beauty Review

Hi guys,

I recently popped on a haul page from Poundland and thought I would share with you my review of the Make Up.

First, I picked up this foundation (pictured in the black tube). This was the shade that was closest to my skin colour BUT when applied it was very orange. It is extremely thick and the packaging was very cheap.

I also got this powder. It is very matte but the coverage isn't very good. Definitely wouldn't last all day for me. Packaging seems higher end down to the font but just wouldn't work for me this product. Ideal as a starter powder for a teenager.

I also got this blush. Again the black packaging seems higher end and it is very pigmented. I love the colour on my cheeks too - will definitely use this product!!

The mascaras are great too. One is Pump up the volume and the other is Never Ending story. Pump Up the Volume is great to thicken the lashes. It is a nice thick brush but the mascara is quite wet and does take a couple of minutes to dry.

The Never Ending story mascara is a thinner brush and is ideal for length. I feel like I would need to use both of the mascaras to get the results I needed (which I sometimes to do anyway). At £1 each, definitely worth giving it a shot.

I also love the liquid eyeliner, it reminds me of the Collection fast stroke eyeliner in packaging and feel on my eyes.

This is the nail varnish that I was most excited about as I love anything sequin and sparkles. However, it is extremely hard to get anything to stick to your nails. It is basically like a clear nail varnish with heart pieces in. The two just don't mix to create something special. I would give this one a miss.

This one is so cute. It is like a speckled egg. I think I would prefer it in a bluey colour to make the pattern stand out a little better but it is cute. I will definitely use this product.

This nail varnish is rainbow sparkle. It is so christmassy in its colours and I adored it when I first saw it. It, like the silver heart varnish, was quite difficult to apply but the result is quite nice. Would most likely be a lot better on top of a colour as this would soothe my OCD. It also wasn't very quick drying!

This product is called Time to Shine. This beautiful pink speckled colour is fab. It isn't neat to apply and again my OCD wasn't soothed by it but it looks great. It would look even better on top of a colour background like a white. Definitely a will use product too!

Have you tried any Poundland makeup?

A/W Trend: Velvet

Hi guys,

My final trend post is the velvet trend! This is everywhere at the minute and this 90s beauty is definitely having its throwback moment.

I, however, am not a fan of the material and I get shivers even thinking about wearing it. However, if I could stand the material, here are my top picks for this season!

1. Wrap dress - New Look £24.99
2. Top - Dorothy Perkins £21.60
3. Berry dress - New Look £22.99
4. Black dress - New Look £19.99

My favourite is this wrap dress. Wrap dresses are super flattering and you can't go wrong with black!

A/W Trends: Gothic

Hi guys,

This new trend is great if you are wanting to bring out your darker side. When I think of gothic, I don't think hoodie with a skull on and dark eye makeup, I always think of more of a vampy look; choker, lace & leather.

So here are the top picks from this trend ...

Lace dress - Asos £25
Two tone dress - New Look £19.99
Lace cut out top - New Look £19.99
Lace studded top - River Island £35
Pretty tshirt - River Island £25

The asos dress is definitely my favourite. I love the high collar!!

A/W Trend: Spice Colours

Hi guys,

I absolutely adore this trend. Not so much a trend as complete Autumn colours, deep browns, khaki greens, orange, berries. Although I love Winter for snow, Spring for the flowers & lambs and Summer for the vitamin d and sunshine, I adore Autumn.

There is something just so cosy about this season. Sitting wrapped in blankets, hot cocoa, brown leaves aaah, I love it all!!

So here are my top on trend spice colours...

1. Khaki bow skirt - Lavish Alice at Asos £54
2. Swing dress - New Look £15.99
3. Knotted top - New Look £15.99
4. Drape bodysuit - New Look £15.99
4. Berry lace dress - New Look £22.99
5. Autumn leaf dress - New Look £24,99
6. Drape wrap top - George £10.00

I love all of this but the autumn leaf dress is my absolute favourite! I have seen this in store and it is absolutely stunning. Obviously, it isn't going to look great outside of Autumn but I would definitely get my wear out of it.
