Lake District: Cartmel

Hi guys,

Just uploading pics of our trip to Cartmel. We went to the small village when we were the Lakes recently and it was absolutely stunning. It has the most gorgeous idyllic scenery and it took us about half a day to wander around and have a good look.

This village is the home of the sticky toffee pudding, we picked some up from the little village shop - the original home and it was gorgeous. In Usworths Yard, you can visit the charming microbrewery and cheese makers. There were also a lot of boutique stores selling homewares and gifts. I could move there, honestly!

We took a stroll along to the racecourse and had a wander around it. There was a little antiques fair on at the time so we managed to have a look around but nothing caught our eye. They did have a segway tour at the racecourse, so it would have been nice to do that but the heavens opened and we decided to make a hasty retreat.
