Pink Bubbly ...

In the Winter months, I have terrible dry chapped lips so I am always trying out new lip balms. Vaseline are my favourites and I love the new editions they always bring out. The pink bubbly is a limited edition version that I couldn't seem to get my hands on until only two weeks ago when I was having a browse in my local Poundland for halloween decs and found it. Yes, a pound!

Pink Bubbly Vaseline is fab. Not only has it got a glittery shimmer that you can even use instead of lip gloss on a night out - it also leaves lips feeling very smooth. It also smells great. The only drawback for me is that I find I have to reapply it more often than normal vaseline and I think that this is because of the shimmer that is in it. However, at a £1.00 I stocked up and will definitely return to see what else they have in store soon.

What is the best thing you have ever found in a bargain shop??

Dorothy Perkins October Haul ...

I have decided that for my first serious blog post, I would show my first love; fashion. I love Dorothy Perkins and have for a long time so when they emailed me with a 25% code as it was Dorothy Perkins fashion week, I thought I would just top up my wardrobe. You will notice from me that I favour darker colours but every now and then I like to pop a lighter colour in there ...

1. Oxblood and Black Tube Dress £12.00

This dress is currently in the sale. I bought the cream and black one and wore it to a concert and loved it. I have the perfect body shape for this dress and it fits me like a glove. This dress also fits lovely and I have a lot of this oxblood colour in my wardrobe - it is perfect for this time of year.

2. Pink Roll Sleeve Pussybow Blouse £28.00

I bought this blouse for work but when it has arrived, it looks smart enough for a night out too. I will wear this with nude heels and skinny jeans for a night out and with my "treggings" for work. Dorothy Perkins have this pictured with a long black skirt but that just doesn't suit my style.

3. Ink Textured Mini Skirt £7.00

This skirt is beautiful. I was a tiny bit hesitant about putting it in my shopping basket as I am not usually one for a mini skirt but I love the colour. It was only £7.00 and with the 20% off it was definitely a steal. It is really nice and well worth the money.

4. Wine embellished neck top £10.00

I was pleasantly surprised by this top. It was in the sale and I do love the colour, as I previously mentioned. I love the embellishment around the neck as well - it makes my neck look longer.

5. Black embellished flapper dress £60.00

This dress is for a party I will be going to in January. I love it soo much. It is so heavy and beautifully embellished. I can pop more on about this party later ... very excited!

See you next time,

Hello, world!

My name is Rachael and I have started this blog to combine my love for all things fashion, beauty and interiors. I also enjoy photography and whether or not other people find my life interesting, I would like to share what I get up to.

So, the name of my blog is from my love of all things literature - mixed with a bit of glam and the occassional glitz. You may find frequent reference throughout my posts of fairy tales or fantasy as I like the imagination of creating another world.

I read a lot and I am definitely a movie geek! I am definitely going to enjoy writing this blog - so I hope you enjoy reading it.
